LOU BUJDOSO BOxer and BUILDER: by Brian Zelley.
I first met Lou Bujdoso in 1966, now in 2020 I have nominated him
For the 2021 British Columbia Amateur Boxing Hall of Fame.
In 1966, Lou and I participated in a boxing card in Port Alberni. Lou represented
the Victoria's London Boxing Club and I Nanaimo's Newcastle Boxing Club.
I remember watching Lou's fight and was impressed with one of his moves
Where he feinted a left hand body punch then landed a right to the head.
I was to fight Del Deugau of Vancouver's Firefighter's boxing club. of interest, I opened with that Lou's feint and right a nailed Del, then just boxed him, Thanks to Lou. And sparring partners Roger Nepper and Ken Stant, I won the Best Fighter Award.

In 1976, Lou and I would join Mike Caird to serve as coaches for the
newly formed Victoria Athletic Association boxing program.

Several years later Lou Bujdoso would form the Jaycees Boxing Club
and a year later, I would join him to coach boxers .

Lou would go on to promote professional boxing in Victoria.
